Wow, mark me interested. His passing is elite and his jump shot is good. How is his defensive potential?

I'm 100% behind Josh Primo. He should be the pick if he's there at #30. I would even trade up a few spots to get him if that's possible. He's gonna be a player.

Trading up should be an option this year especially with the Knicks, Rockets, and Thunder having 3 first-round picks each.

IDK... the way the draft shook out last year we had a lot of ways we could have gone assuming we stayed at #23:

We had upside wings available in Hampton and McDaniels
Ready made guys like Bane and Tillman that can give you something now and grow into stuff later
Quality PG prospects like Pritchard, Flynn, Terry
Basic big wings like Bey and Woodard

No idea why DL had to have Udoka... there were a lot smarter ways to go. I have wondered where Udoka lands in the draft if we don't take him. He's a better prospect than Bradley but it seems to me that whatever model DL and the front office uses is skewed heavily towards these types of guys.

I mean, none of those guys are huge misses for the Jazz. Maybe McDaniels/Hampton/Bane explode one day, but none of the other guys are really going to be misses we talk about 4 years from now.

Guys like Jaden Springer and Josh Christopher might be available at 30. That's pretty insane and both fit what the Jazz need out of a backcourt mate for Mitchell (in lieu of being able to grab a high level lead ball handler).

And I'm still holding out of hope for Elijah Hughes as Dennis Lindsey last masterstroke.

I'm making a bold prediction. I think this Josh Primo kid is going to be one of the best shooting guards in the entire league. He's a bit of an unknown because he played behind a bunch of wings at Alabama. I think he's the youngest player in the draft. He doesn't turn 19 until December. He has the widest hands of any guard in the draft. He's still growing.

I think the Jazz would have to offer #30, Hughes/Dok plus maybe a future 2nd to get Houston interested at #24. And that assumes Houston is targeting someone they like at #30 (like the Jazz targeting Dok last year).

Jazz really can't afford to trade up. If they are trading Bogey, they need to extract all that value in player assets who can help them win now, not for a future guy (unless you are absolutely positive you're drafting your next Gobert/Mitchell).
