I think it works without Schroeder. When the amounts get that high you have a lot more wiggle room to be within 125% of matching salaries.

I was saying that because I thought Kuzma and Harrell were headed to Sacramento... so it would have been Schroeder and KCP... turns out Kuz wasn't headed that way.

Defense and defensive flexibility. Oh, and salary reasons since Rubio is expiring but Bojan and Favors make $30 next year (Nance less than $10).
