yeah, stop hating on Royce. He has some limitations, but whenever anyone pushes broadside attacks on him, then you know they're either smoking crack and/or on some kind of rage fest.

Now you’re engaging in straw man arguments. No one is hating on Royce. Let’s not mischaracterize what I’m saying. Cmon now.

Royce is a very serviceable and versatile wing. But believing that Herb Jones potentially could be displacing him isn’t exactly mind blowing. Especially given Jones’ talent. At the very worst, we’d have another Royce to come off the bench had we drafted him.

You’re smart enough to know that good shooting statistics from college don’t mean they’ll be a good shooter in the nba. Jimmer says “hi!”

You’re the one who claims that he has nba athleticism and skill. It would be nice to see evidence to support your point. I have serious concerns over his athleticism, handle, and size. His play seems to support these concerns.

I know you think you’re smarter than everyone else, but it would be nice to see evidence of it. So if you think he has nba skills and athleticism, do something (or anything) to support it. That’s how discussion works. We can’t just assume you’re right about everything just because you declare it.

I have to see more of Jones TBH. What Wagner did last night was incredible! If he’s not already on the rookie ladder he will be. Steal of the draft???

Was he a steal? Wasn’t he drafted In the top 10? Is that considered a steal when a top pick plays like a top pick?

Having said that, how sweet would it have been if we had turned a bunch of our assets that we’ve burned to trade Allen, Crowder, Matt Thomas, etc and cashed in on a top 20 pick for last year’s draft? So many good quality wings out there. Would’ve been nice since 3-4 remains our Achilles heel.

Instead, we got a guard who rarely plays and is playing behind Forrest, a guy who probably won’t be in the league next year.

I have a higher opinion of Butler than you do obviously. I put his lack of play squarely on Snyder’s shoulders. But again yeah, an athletic wing that actually played would’ve been nice.

This aged quite well. Wish you would’ve been making our draft selections. Jones right now would be contributing. Instead we have butler who’s… I don’t know doing something else? I don’t think I’ve seen him for a few weeks.

can't really complain about not having the assets to acquire an athletic wing when we passed on multiple opportunities to get one in the draft

I agree. He does look small. And his lack of athleticism is concerning to me. If you don’t have blow by speed then you better be crafty as hell with the ball and be a dead eye shooter. He doesn’t seem to have that. He has that right handed step back thing. But that’s predictable as hell and the only real perimeter move I’ve seen. I’d like to see more. Does he have a floater game? I guess the only time we’ll find out is if Spida, Conley, and Clarkson ever get Covid. Even up 20+ in the 4th Quin rarely plays Butler.

Meanwhile, I could see Hebert overtaking Royce right now tbh. Or making Jingles expendable. Whoopsies! Guess we ****ed that up. Yep straight major ****ups in the draft. Should’ve drafted McDaniels/bane instead of Udoka and should’ve drafted Herbert instead of trading down and getting butler.

Jones can play with Royce. Mcdaniels too. there's no need to overtake anybody.
