2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

Is Nic Cage a good actor? That’s a great discussion and I would certainly lean toward yes given his body of work and argue that most of his bad films over the last decade or so are due to crappy scripts and needing the money. But Adaptation, Lord of War, Moonstruck, Raising Arizona, Bad Lieutenant:…, Leaving Las Vegas, Con Air, The Rock, Joe, Pig…

There are probably another dozen quality films (with Cage performances) I could name too. The guy is weird af but fascinating as well. If you’ve not seen Joe, see it. It’s a better version of McConnaghy’s Mud.
Face/Off is a truly bad, but still incredibly awesome movie. John Travoltra, Nic Cage and John Woo were all in prime form for that one. Still one of my favorites from that era.

I'm sure a lot of people are inclined to choose the pre-80 player with their first or second pick, because there's only a handful of great players from that era. There's a huge difference between someone like Kareem Abdul Jabar, and Bob Pettit.

That’s one of the main reasons magic was my first pick

Never saw it, but great bad movies list has to include The Warriors. “Warriors, come out and play-ay.”

Giving you 30 min before I pick for you. Your past the two hours from when u were last seen on the site.
I say instead of having you pick for people we just pass over them so that the people paying attention get an extra player available until that person finally makes their pick.

I haven't seen Face-off in a long time. I remembering thinking it was pretty cool as a kid.

I feel the opposite. There are a lot more than a handful of great players to choose from for the pre 80's. That is probably the deepest group we can pull from since we are talking about 30yrs worth of guys.

As far as people's perceptions go, I think there are only a handful of players the voters will consider as good as a modern superstar. So while there are a lot of old school players you'll see on "top 50 players on all time" lists, I don't think the voters will highly value a player like the aforementioned Bob Pettit. But who knows? I could be wrong.
