I was the biggest critic of Ant in here last year because the dude was so up and down.

Then he really stepped up his game against the Nuggets (31/5/5 avg) and the sloppy turnovers and stretches of garbage just never came. Few lowlights sure, but no disappearances.

He continued that in the world cup where he did have a few poor first halves but always seemed to recover within the game.

Its not hard to imagine him becoming a top 3 player of his generation, and my bet is that next season he is gonna look much improved.

Also wild if Mavs poor roster management makes people think Luka has somehow declined. Dude just posted a few historic games last year and was in WCF the year before.

Zero people have said that Luka has declined. You can’t make up an opposing point for the other side and argue against it. And no, if you vote for the other team it does not follow that they must believe in the phantom argument you made up.

I feel like the construction of team D was great. Defensively they have the ability to switch things up and do a good job of guarding every team in this tourney. Offensively I love the way guys compliment each other and they have a great mix of get you bucket scorers and complimentary scorers. Injuries are the only concern and that could have a huge impact on mid-season voting.

For team L I love the wings but don't trust the bigs at all. I think we see a pretty big step back from Lopez, Horford and Green this year. It is crazy to think that Lopez is entering year 16 and Horford year 17. I still vividly remember them in college.

They brought him back slowly but by years end he was fully back. 23pts a game due to the clips easing him back in due to the ACL recovery almost 7 reb a game nearly 4 ast shot 41% from 3 on 4 attempts and shot 51% fg on 16 attempts. Dude he averaged 33.6 minutes per game when he played, 3rd most in his career. "Easing him back" meant they gave him load management days and rested him on every back to back. That only helped his stats as he never once played a game tired.

He was great in the two games against Suns, I'll give him that. But so was Ant vs the Nuggets, and its not unfair to think they are headed in different directions.

Yeah that was poorly phrased by me.

However you made up an argument of your own there and put it in my mouth, so pots and kettles...

Biggest difference is I admitted my poor phrasing, when you tried to lol your way out of yours.

Also, my post is fixable by switching one word, "how" with "if", making it perfectly reasonable... and more in line to what I intended to say.

Your post needs a bit more work to turn it from trash to reason.

Your statement accused people of believing Luka has declined and for those reasons. No one said that, it must have been implied for you to criticize it. If you misspoke, you misspoke. But if you didn't, it would require that what I said (or something very similar) had to be true. That's why I said what I said. Otherwise, why would you make an argument against something no one said? You can't make a poor statement, and then say I made a bad post for responding to the poor statement. If I gave someone the wrong directions, I can't be the one blaming them for going the wrong way.

So... if someone makes a comment that doesnt make sense you can (for instance):
1) Ask him what he means by it
2) Trash him without asking

You chose number 2 and now you try and stand and fight on the mountain of righteousness "because I forced your bad behaviour".

I suggest you buy a new moral compass.

Haha. Sorry, but if someone says something I disagree with I will say I disagree with it and why. That's kind of the point of a discussion isn't it? If you're upset about that....honestly I cannot bring myself to care. I'm not going to ask a poster and validate that what they said is what they wanted to say. I guess my moral compass doesn't allow me to assume everyone must be treated with kid gloves. I could not care less if you misspoke (even though I don't think you're revised point has much meaning anyways). But I find it comical that you want to blame others for misunderstanding something you acknowledge was poor.

My nephew says nonsensical things all the time and I don't take it at face value because he's 5, but in an effort to improve my moral compass I will remember to treat you the same way.
