Indiana wanted THT? Then let's trade them THT and 9 for 7 and a decent overpaid bench player. And to remind everyone, Indiana was the team rumored to want THT. They want those dynamic big guards.

Interesting you bring that up because it didn’t really work very well. A case study in why fit is so powerful, if anything.I mean, we just saw Haliburton play his career with De'Arron Fox and they played pretty well next to each other. With the pecking order being reversed, I think it would potentially be a dynamic duo.
Is he “high-level” because he takes a bunch of them? Trying something and succeeding at something are not the same thing.Yeah, I think you are being incredibly short sighted if you think JHS is a bad shooter. He is a high level mid-range shooter (you know, the most Devin Bookery thing that Devin Booker does) and his 3pt shot looks promising. If you take out his corner attempts, he was a 38% 3pt shooter. So he shot really well at the harder 3pt shots (believe he was 38% out of PNR for 3's), but just isnt comfortable at knocking down what is generally thought of as the easier shot. That will come along and he will be a fine shooter.
Also, Devin's 3pt shooting from college never translated to the NBA. He's a career 36% from 3 and it's not the defining part of his game.
Today I learned that Booker isn’t a great shooter.I guess you clearly don’t understand that someone who can’t shoot isn’t the closest thing to Booker in the draft.
Give me a break. That’s rich coming from you. It seems like you search out Fish’s comments on other threads in attempts to trash him. You didn’t even reply back to him the other day because he made you look like an absolute clown.
If you weren’t such a dick you wouldn’t get the same treatment back.
Both of these posts can be true.It feels very personal here. Dont know why people want to create such hostility over draft takes.
Okay but you talk about his lack of attempts like it’s a matter of dumb misfortune rather than a reflection that he didn’t warrant contact in the paint. You of all people should find that concerning since you harped about Mitchell’s poor FTR as a rookie and basically relegated Dejounte Murray as trash because he doesn’t get to the stripe (despite being productive, Lauri’s age, big for his position, otherwise has no serious holes in his game, and likely available in some fashion in the next year).Would you rather have a player who shot 38% from 3, but the majority of their makes and attempts came from the corner, or would you rather have a 33% shooter who converted 38% of their above the break 3's, but struggled to an unusual degree from the corners?
Because the corner shot is generally regarded as the easiest, and if a player has exhibited the ability to make the tougher shots, the common sense take would be that you can more easily teach a player to be proficient in the easier shot than you can the harder shot.
Combine that with the player being proficient in the mid-range on difficult shots, this is the profile of a good shooter who can easily scale up with reps. Shows how powerful narrative are in regards to prospects. Someone saw JHS, labeled him a bad shooter and it stuck despite it being pretty far from the truth. The bummer with JHS is that he has a small sample size on his FT attempts (litterally if you take out the first game of the season where he went 1/4 he becomes an 81% FT shooter, just to show how small the sample is). If he was an 80%+ FT shooter on more attempts I'd feel more confident in projecting his shooting growth, but it isnt so there is still somewhat a question as there is with most prospects.
I think it could work sure. I also know they have Mathurin who they like and wants to go out and get buckets and have a need at SF/PF so why prioritize Black with your best future asset. It's not an impossible fit obviously its why not get an ideal prioritize higher need. Not that you plan around it but they also have TJ McConnell... not sure his contract is positive or negative at this point but sure he could be moved.I dont think Black being a fit in Indiana is that absurd. Who is a shot creator for others on that team outside of Haliburton?
You probably cant think of one, so why not get another playmaker?
I think we’d have to throw in SOMETHING. I keep coming back to Dunn and/or Ochai as places to level out trades because in this case Dallas has to get some basketball value from tanking so egregious that the league is investigating them. If only to save face. What if Dallas wanted us to take Bertans and THJ salary with 10 attached but we keep 16?
how many top-10 picks can we get? That is pornography.New ESPN/DX mock from Givony and Woo where they alternate picks based on best fit and then one alternating picks with BPA.
Best fit mock:
8. Amen
9. Whitmore
10. Hendricks
He can't play more than 61 to make sure he isn't fully guaranteed next year, so you'll get off easy!Yes but I still have to look at his ugly mug for 82 games. lol.
Yes,I think foul drawing is his biggest issue and possibly something that may never be good.Okay but you talk about his lack of attempts like it’s a matter of dumb misfortune rather than a reflection that he didn’t warrant contact in the paint.
