2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Hendricks scores 5 points in a conference tourney game, the guy he guards scores 32.
I can do this same thing for every player in the draft, including the dude I invented and now youre dick riding, JHS. This ***** wild corny man.

You're the same dude that **** on Walker Kessler for like 6 months and the same with Sexton. I'd sit this out for a season and let the grown ups talk.

The revisionist history on my thoughts on WK are wild.

Most of the OTE teams have 7'ers. It was a fastbreaks league, but in the half court they are playing with the NBA line and a 24 second clock, so them struggling in the half court makes sense imo
except 15 yo cam boozer and his HS team didn't struggle much in the halfcourt against those 7 footers when they blew out the second best team in the league.

My strategy with the twins is to not pay attention to any of their stats, both the good and the bad. Watch some OTE games you will understand why.

That’s kind of my approach as well, but honestly if you do look at the stats it’s not super favorable for them. I believe that throwing out the numbers is generous to them, but it’s also the thing to do. How good/bad they are can’t really be proven. It’s really up to the teams themselves to judge how good they are in workouts.

You keep bringing up Cam Boozer like he isn't one of the best amateur players in the nation regardless of age...

Cy doesn’t even believe his own BS half the time. Most recently he told us the Jazz would be awful… they start out 10-3… he told us Walker Kessler should go to the G League… he ends up 2nd in ROY voting… he jumps on the GG bandwagon… and the wheels come off… he pumps Klintman… then his feedback is so bad he moves to Australia… lord help JHS.

I tried to shoo him away from the Bilal bandwagon. There’s no rhyme or reason for why he suddenly likes someone, but the dumb *** takes are sure to follow lol.

I actually like JHS in the teens but FWIW Ainge's biggest draft miss in Boston was taking a 19 year old freshman Indiana guard, Romeo Langford, with the 14th pick in 2019.

Don't believe that will or should keep him from potentially drafting JHS but nonetheless he does have a recent bad experience drafting a highly touted IU prospect.

If I recall correctly you wanted Kessler to the G-league so that Lauri could learn to play the 5.

I mean, it's an opinion.
I'm confused about how sending someone to the GLeague means they are bad. Rudy went to the GLeague and it worked pretty damn well for him. That was part of the reasoning behind him to the GLeague. The other was for Lauri together more 5 minutes to develop more 5 out lineups.

It also crazy cuz you can go through the draft thread for that year where my early season thoughts on WK were echoed

Locke is depressing today pulling out statistics about odds of getting an allstar, starter, rotation player, or bump by draft ranges like 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20. Summary, the extreme majority outside the top 5 are garbage or mostly irrelevant. Usually rotation only or bust. Debbie downer. Let us have hope for at least the next week please.

The stupidity in the WK take was that Olynyk had to be moved before Kessler could play so Lauri could play more 5 out. Have you ever seen Kelly Olynyk play lol? Even if that’s your priority, it’s was never a choice between Kelly and WK. It was Vando and WK.
