2023 NBA Draft Megathread

This is Jazz specific btw.

1-Wemby
2- Scoot
3- Miller
4- Amen
5- Whitmore
6- Ausar
7- Black
8- Tay Henny
9- Walker
10- George - Could flip flop George and Wallace depending on the day
11- Wallace
12- Sidy
13- Whitehead
14- Sensabaugh
15- Nick Smith Jr.

Didn't feel great at the end tbh. Really wanted to put Jett and Jordan Hawkins in around the 13th spots because I feel a lot more certain about fit. Decided to try for more upside in that range... not sure that's how I'd actually draft.
No Dick?

I claim no expertise in this matter, but for what it’s worth, here’s my current Lottery Big Board.

  3. Amen Thompson
  4. Cam Whitmore
  5. Brandon Miller
  6. Ausar Thompson

  9. Anthony Black
  10. Grady Dick
  11. Cason Wallace
  12. Nick Smith Jr
  13. Taylor Hendricks

Very respectable good sir. Miller at 5 is a little crazy but other than that not a lot I disagree with.

1. Wemby
2. Scoot (I kind of want to say Miller but I'm a coward)
3. Miller
4. Ausar
5. Amen

9. George (the OL discourse made me realize I should be higher in him)
10. Black
11. Whitmore
12. Wallace
13. Filipowski
14. L Miller

Not very high on Hendricks either?

Not a big Dick fan?
I love Dick... I thought I put his name on there. I changed it and have him #11. Feel like a Ding Dong for not having Dick in there... man I'm such a wiener.

Scoot over Miller has basically been the default all year until recently when people seem to be getting bored or want to shake it up.

Miller feels safer for sure. But the Jazz should be swinging for the fences if they get a chance. Jabari Smith will probably be a very nice NBA player. But he also seems to have a pretty obvious ceiling as an offensive player.

Maybe Scoot is Westbrook but that is like a worse case scenario at this point. He also seems way more cerebral as a passer. I’m taking the upside all day, especially in the Jazz current situation.

We’d be lucky and thrilled to have either, of course.
Westbrook is a HOFer. I get people don't like him, but if Scoot is Russ then he's worth the 2nd pick. You just hope he has all the Russ attributes with less stubbornness.

Honestly it’s a glut right there and don’t have strong preferences among the group (except that I just don’t like combo guards, I have not done a real dig on George and I’m not even hating.)

I do just want to stress that I think Dick is somehow flying under the radar.
I'm not sure. I think he is obviously a legit shooter. He got targeted on defense a lot early in the year and has improved. Seems like a smart player that knows where to be... Just don't know what kind of on ball juice he will have. I think his defense becomes adequate but maybe not a plus defender. I think he is a safe pick though and I'd have him well above the other shooters in the draft.

If we knew he’d be as good as Huerter has been this year how high would you be willing to take him?

Russ attributes? Like bad shooting, ball pounding and 100% relying on athleticism? And that's prime Russ. Won't even get into what he's these days.
