Yep. Both are plus defenders. My observation is that Walker is far superior with on-ball and perimeter defense, for starters. Hendricks is very good as a secondary rim protector which would have value with the Jazz too though.
Can you show me some statistical evidence showing that walker has these bbiq skills and hendricks doesn't?Basketball IQ ball skills. I’ve never thought Walker was the shooter Hendricks is but I think he’s good enough and as I said I value those other skills more as long as there is sufficient enough shooting.
Watch their games and even highlights not a numbers guy don’t trust them. Never have. Can you show me some statistical evidence showing that walker has these bbiq skills and hendricks doesn't?
Is this how people felt about Giannis?Even the Bilal fans think he is a risk, but holey cow, there's a real potential for him to be a star in the league. I think Danny Ainge has taken a strong liking to him. Danny won't lose his job and has the freedom to pick who he wants. Reach or not I think he is the pick if Cam, Jarace, Amen/Ausur is not an option.
Didn’t we all learn about him later in the process? Is this how people felt about Giannis?
That's my point. If that is his biggest flaw, that's a good bet to get fixed. The counter is that AK47 could never put on the weight he needed to dominate.
I think the Jazz stay at 9. The move from 16 to 12 - I love that idea - improve the quality of the player without giving up a pick per se (that way Ainge can keep his trove for an all-star). And finally trading from 28 to 21 to nab another quality option. I like the idea of getting Patty Mills while only giving up a future first.
Bilal/Bufkin/GG and Patty Mills while only giving up one future 1st. Dang...that would be sweet.
After the draft we go all-star hunting. Dame, Jaylen, etc..that would be a quick bounce back with youth being a large component.
Those are good points, but you don't like the idea of forfeiting the 2024 rights entirely to the OKC to move from 16 to 12? I think that's the easiest move to convince OKC.If Dallas can get Anthony Black at #10, they might just take him. The Jazz's trade would then need to be with Toronto, convincing the Raptors that Hawkins will be there for them at #16, since Utah, NOLA and Atlanta are drafting guards. Bufkin is gone, but the Jazz can choose from among Keyonte, Hood-Schifino and Wallace.

Yeah we could be in the lottery but if we truly believe the Jazz are going to turn it around then maybe you take that risk. Especially if Ainge is confident he is getting an all-star.
Oh I see that now as a possibility. We wouldn't be forfeiting the rights to our 2024 pick. In my scenario, OKC moved up to 10 to take Hendricks. Then Utah did a deal with Dallas to move up to 12.

Oh and then if we want buy back in the draft with a future first.. maybe Brooklyn.OKC moves up for Hendricks.
Dallas walks away with Dort, Lively and moves a bit of money.
Utah gets a guard they like at 12.
NOLA drops back 2 spots and adds #28.
My prediction on draft night…
Hendricks falls and we trade him to OKC for our 2024 pick and some seconds.
We take Bufkin at 12.
We trade 28 and KO for Collins and 15. We take Bilal at 15 and Leonard Miller at 16.
