2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I think Dick is gonna be awesome in the league. Big shooter who knows how to cut. Dick has a big finishing package at the rim. His offball movement is phenomenal.

Will have to learn to defend… may not do much more than score and make good passes… but I think he will have gravity all over the court. Give me Dick all day.

I thought more about it.

This team couldn't win a ring with Stockton (and Malone) back in the day.
Phenomenal smaller PG's such as CP3, Derrick Rose, Nash, etc have never won championships.
We all know Don, another small guard, didn't get close to it here.

I'm ready to kick off this new iteration of the Jazz by drafting some bigger players. I'm sticking with Victor, Amen, Miller, Whitmore types if they get lucky enough to end up with a top 4 pick. They can always fill in the guards later.

He's not small though... he's 6'2" or 6'3" with a 6'9" wingspan. He's also just built. Shorter than D Wade but not by much. Those types can win titles I believe. Rose derailed by injuries... Nash doesn't have Scoot's athleticism. Steph is a small point guard and he's done alright.

Scoot has just as a much better chance to be the #1 guy on a title team than Amen, Miller, or Whitmore... if that is the main reason you are thinking we should go another route. He's got shades of Ja and shades of CP and shades of prime Rose. He seems to have a great head on his shoulders. Before Giannis and Steph those projected player archetypes hadn't really won titles. IMO it is Wemby, Scoot, then the others (who I like).

Yeah, if you are elite your size shouldnt be that much of an issue as long as you try on defense.

You just cant have the mid-range guys, like Collin Sexton, who are small.

Pretty much this. He’s fine size wise. Guys under 6’4 can’t win titles until they do. All it takes is for Ja to make a run one year for people to rethink that.

Yep. Sometimes you just run into all time greats and there is nothing you can do about it. I'm sure Kevin Johnson is viewed quite a bit differently if the suns with the title in 93.
