2023 NBA Draft Megathread

You can play a non-shooting guard and a true big like WK just fine if the guard is an elite paint touch guy. I would actually say it's imperative to have a good roll man with a guy like Amen because you want to take advantage of his elite passing.

Just prepare to have some alternate type lineups. Trading WK would be so foolish given the rise of dominant bigs. You need his defense to beat Denver, without question.

I must be in the minority, because I don’t like the Thompson twins at all for the Jazz. I’d much rather see the Jazz trade up for Whitmore or Walker, or stay at 9 and draft Black or Hendricks. I’m still intrigued by Cason Wallace, but I have some minor concerns with rumored back issues. If the medicals check out, he’s higher up on my list.

So many smokescreens right now, and most of it’s all ********. Danny Ainge isn’t going to tip his hand. I think he’s going to make a bold move to get a guy he wants. Hopefully it’s the right move. He killed it at the top of the draft in Boston. I have faith in him to get it right in Utah too. DA is one of the absolute best in the business.

because he's not really a lead guard. you might be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole by trying to make him that.

Fair enough, one of the things I thought people had a blind spot with Ivey last year as that he did not play PG at Purdue. Same is true for Bufkin. He was not Michigan's main PG.

yeah, i'm not saying he can't play lead guard, i'm just saying there is a chance it work. if you are drafting him to be a pg, you are a taking an extra risk. i still like the guy a ton, but that's a concern i have.

Stretch Cs also exist (Naz Reid, and I got thumped for Zingis, but).
