If you look at the guards that Ainge has drafted previously, I think it puts the Thompson Twins, Black, Wallace, Bufkin and JHS all in play for Utah.

Tony Allen, Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier. . .

I don't necessarily agree with the traditional view of what makes someone high potential, but Hendricks does check a lot of those boxes.

One thing in both player's favor for me is that they are late bloomers. I prefer the late bloomer over the blue chip that plateaued.

Yeah and I think if DA does take Bilal #9 I will think he knows all the behind the scenes stuff that may have a huge impact on a kids career. I'm just over the folks that are gagging and declaring Hendricks a worst case scenario. Give me a damn break.

I'd also like to know what his impression of the practice/workout is. Been listening to stuff from teammates and everybody seems to love Bilal's character and think his talent is insane....but what else are they gonna say? FWIW the PG for Mets said he's Kawhi like, but I didn't even think it was worth mentioning because he's a teammate.

Your earlier point made me think, if Hendricks was **** at shooting, would some people like him more? Would they think he's high potential? It worked for GG until he hit the blunt one too many times. GG's **** scoring somehow turned into defensive potential. By virtue of being an actual good 3&D we might be too dismissive of the other stuff. I really feel like Cason being good at a bunch of things makes him more boring and it might be the case with Hendricks.
