2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

It’s pretty crazy to me that Denver is running away with the title with all the major pieces they had when we played them in the bubble. I mean, that core is the same core that we probably should’ve beaten in 6 or 7 games. My how the two franchises sure have taken completely different paths. It’s a shame Rudy never developed more of an offensive game. It’s a shame Mitchell never attempted to play defense. And it’s a shame we never could make the minor moves like Denver did to surround their stars with tough role players to put them over the top.
This Denver team is a lot better than the one we faced in the bubble.

Their defense was swiss cheese for most of that series without Gary Harris. This roster has great defenders like KCP, Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, who all can also shoot the 3.

It's a weird quote from him. It's hard to imagine him walking away while still playing at such a high level. Probably just a way to make sure everyone keeps talking about him all offseason even though the Lakers are now eliminated.
I think that is a lot less likely than him putting heat on the Lakers ton of cheap out.

I have a hard time believing LeBron would retire without a goodbye tour like Kobe had. But he has nothing left to prove, and it has to be getting harder to get motivated.

I think LeBron wants to sit out next year. He rests, and then signs with whoever drafts Bronny the next season. He has years left on his contract, but he will probably work something out with the Lakers to void the rest of his deal.

I could see this.
