2023 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread

As much good as LeBron admittedly did for the NBA in his career, I think his retirement is the best thing that could happen to the NBA right now.

This Denver team is a lot better than the one we faced in the bubble.

Their defense was swiss cheese for most of that series without Gary Harris. This roster has great defenders like KCP, Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, who all can also shoot the 3.
Right. Which is exactly what I said in my previous post. They’re a lot better team despite their core being the same. It’s a shame our core never got better and we never could surround our core player with better parts.

I’d like to see him play with his son for a year. Mostly because, I think That would be cool because that hasn’t been done before.

Other than that, I think you’re right. It would be good to move on, probably both for the Lakers and the league.

I have a hard time believing LeBron would retire without a goodbye tour like Kobe had. But he has nothing left to prove, and it has to be getting harder to get motivated.
It wouldn't surprise me. Lebron's one of those that if he can't give it everything, he will give it nothing. Like you said, there's nothing left for him to prove. He's secured his spot in the pantheon.

I'm so happy Lebron and the Lakers lost.

I might actually watch the Finals as I don't hate Denver nor Miami. Bam VS Jokic would be cool to watch.

I think LeBron wants to sit out next year. He rests, and then signs with whoever drafts Bronny the next season. He has years left on his contract, but he will probably work something out with the Lakers to void the rest of his deal.
Nah, Lebron isn't sitting a year. You are underestimating how important it is for Lebron to continue cementing his legacy and that includes making the scoring record a Stockton like untouchable with assists.
