I get it... can argue Warriors should have gone more all in by trading picks and stuff... but I've never seen a team go this far in... and the potential for backfire is enormous.
I mean ask yourself what is the alternative path to them not doing this or something like this. The price is perfectly good in a vacuum for Beal. The only reason people seem to hate is because it sends them even further into tax hell(who cares, if their billionaire owner doesn't mind paying... let him pay), and it puts some restrictions on their ability to add mediocre talent... there are very few things that they could do before that they can't do now. And IMO the quality of a player added in Beal more than offsets that drawback. None of this guarantees a title. But at least they are really going all in. If we ever are in a position like this, I hope Ryan Smith will be OK with doing something similar to maximize our contention window.
Nah. I’d rather keep Mikal Bridges. He has a chance to be a real breakout star moving forward. Especially since it looks like Scoot is probably going 2nd overall. Going to be really interesting to see if trades match they hype in this draft.

i won't argue with that. 26 ppg on 61% TS, elite defender, never misses a game, great person who will never cause his team any drama. those dudes don't grow on trees.
