2023 Trade Rumors and Gossip Involving the Jazz

Is he good enough to be picked 9th? I like the possibilities in his future. But not sure if I’m sold on him at 9
I have him ranked 16th, so I'm not super high on him as others, but I do like him and if I did a board solely based on upside he would be more like 10thish.

I dont know who the safe player is at 9. Gradey Dick? I think everyone in this draft has significant questions and "safe" isnt really in my decision making process for the 9th pick.

It would also just be hilarious to see Elizah Huge be wrong after all his "Jazz cant possibly have Bilal at 9 on their big board" rants.

Bilal going 9 is literally the worst timeline. That means we passed on someone good and reached hard. Then we’d never hear the end of it from Ferg and Cy.

What would you hear from me? Lmao. Everyone would end up talking themselves into loving it and we would just bump your over the top rants. You'd be hearing it from everyone.

If you miss on 9 cuz you're obsessed with taking a swing, there is a real chance the Jazz walk away with nothing from this draft. Nothing.

Even more hilarious if Bilal is never good in the NBA.
In the end Bilal played against higher competition in higher stake games than most players in the draft. It was a small sample size, but gives me a lot more confidence than if he had only played in the French Jr. League. I think he still projects to be a role player and is still too risky at 9, but I'm personally backing off my position that he has super high bust potential.

Sam Vecenie said he would consider 16+28+Something else for #10 if he was Dallas.

DIdnt really specify what that would be, but I think that's something Utah would do pretty easily if the other thing is just one of their future picks.

It feels like historically this is where teams take swings and they almost never pan out. Teams in the lottery are looking for that guy that can put them over the top, but realistically the back end of the lottery is going to get you a rotation player, if you pick well.
