My fear is if they start tanking next season they could be up and running with a good team by 2031.

I struggle to understand why anyone would think such a convoluted idea would work in practice or that the NBA would ever entertain such an idea.

About a month ago I posed a question in this thread about why we’re not doing what it takes to out tank other teams. At that time we had just beaten Houston and sat about 4th worst.

After that win we sat Lauri for consecutive games for the first time in a month (and have sat him extensively since). That tells me that we’re (finally) taking tanking seriously.

Good to see the fruits of that finally.
 
We’re not finishing last. We got two more games to win against the Wolves. Basketball gods hate the teams with the worst record.
