2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

The Jazz did a lot of ****ery to lose a lot of games post-deadline the past two years. This year they've done more ****ery pre-deadline than they ever have. I have no reason to believe the ****ery will slowdown, only ramp up, more than it ever has.
Much like Favors’ plantar fasciitis or Hood’s explosive diarrhea, tankitis is a complicated, chronic condition that must be carefully managed.

Guessing no first out there for Sexton or Collins… since they recorded a million seconds for basically being a toll booth… so why move good players for them I guess. I think they want the flexibility to flip the switch… even if that’s dumb and unlikely.
I'm not even mad. The Collins contract isn't great but John is playing well and seems to like playing here. And Sexton is still only 26 and he's our most efficient guard who should get more love from Jazz fans.

the first zero is the amount of wins we're aiming for before the all star break. The second zero is the amount of wins we're aiming for after the all star break for the rest of the season
Then he needs to play like it! 31 points in 33 minutes on 19 shots smh

Same reason any team would. Because he is really good and they want to keep him?

It's a risky move to tie too much money on a complete defensive liability. If Jazz could land someone like Flagg, then maybe with him, Kessler and defensive guard to pair with Sexton it could work to reach for conference finals/championship in five(+) years.

Sexton is ideally a well paid sixth man in a contender.

Sarah Todd confirmed they didn't have to waive two
From Sarah's story in the Deseret News:
On Thursday the Jazz agreed to send Schröder and to Detroit for Martin, Richardson and a 2028 second rounder. In order to make room on the roster for this deal to be completed the Jazz will have to waive Hood-Schifino.

Additionally, league sources have said that the Jazz are expected to waive Richardson. This will mean the Jazz have 14 fully rostered players, an open roster spot and three two-way players following the trade deadline.

We will have a lot of expiring next year that will be sought after. We really need to end in the bottom 2 but it might be hard. I hope we can do it

Sure. And we dont know how much he will make. Probably about what a well paid 6th man gets.

Bottom 3 should be the target
