2024-25 Trade Rumors Thread

The man is 35 years old and a known malcontent.

Anyone who gives him a new deal longer than two years is insane.
Not really a malcontent, he just doesnt like to play for ****** teams.

If you are a contender and you get him, you are getting a guy who is going to perform like a top 10 player in the playoffs.

MEM offer would be like Smart+Clarke+Kennard+some incentive? Picks? Laravia? Idk....Butler can't be worth much.

Butler still worth a ton. He would make Memphis a finals favorite in the West. Depending on Miami's preferences for win now vs future assets, a 3rd team would have to be involved.

I guess what I'm saying is that for a player as good as Jimmy Butler, he won't get that much. Like Collins+Sexton might be the best win-now package they can get. If we added Sexton -> MIA and D.Robinson -> UTA, that would be a really good trio for MIA. Brooks, Sexton, Collins....I'm not sure that there's a version of a trade that gets MIA more good players than that. Regardless of specifics, I think a MIA-UTA-HOU three way trade is somewhat realistic.

MEM has good, but not great win now players and I'm not sure how interested MIA would be in them just throwing more picks into the deal. It's never really been Reilly's way. MEM package would be some combo of Smart, Clarke, Kennard, Laravia maybe? Not super appealing but Butler must be traded and it's going to be soon IMO.

I think they can still get a good return as long as more than one team really wants him. He's the only true needle mover fully on the market.

Pat Rilely is also DA coded, so he isnt going to rush for a mediocre return.
