Lauri has been a lot worse than a max player this year so I don't think his trade value will be good until he starts playing much better.

Lauri has been a lot worse than a max player this year so I don't think his trade value will be good until he starts playing much better.

I do not know if "Our star player is simply not trying because the team he signed a five year deal with is trying to throw games" is good for trade discussions either, lol.

This kind of makes me happy to be honest since my best case scenario is that we DONT trade Lauri and we start trying to win as much as possible next season after drafting Cooper and Lauri playing badly now helps us get cooper as well.

So his poor play lessens the likelihood that we trade him (good thing) and increases the chances we draft Cooper (good thing)

Let's say we do the Collins deal and have Lyles and the Suns are unable to get a Butler deal done and pivot to attempting to trade Nurkic. What if we send Lyles (Book teammate btw) for Nurkic? Saves them a ton of money and improves their C situation. We get two of those picks back lol.

We won't get two picks for that... even if they are ****** picks. It sounds like Beal is going to kill any chance at a Jimmy deal anyway. I think the best Nurk deal is if Cleveland deals for Johnson and sends Strus in the deal... he can be routed to Phoenix and Nurk with one pick goes to the Nets.
