Giannis is to Jokic as Wilt is to Russell. Better individual player, but worse team player.

I would ague that Jokic is a decidedly better player all around. The only area Giannis exceeds Jokic is in athleticism and as a result his overall game will fade faster. Jokic's game is not based in that so he will likely have the longer and more productive career.
 
Honestly, all the negativity and sniping at @Thee Idiotic Minivan K has really soured me on this whole thing. I checked out even before the voting started, and I don't know that I'll want to participate again next year. Too much pettiness.

@Thee Idiotic Minivan K did a job.

But to be able to run this thing properly you need more than that.

By my count, he had:

- refused to listen to anyone’s suggestions on anything (it’s his way or the highway) i.e., he completely ignored the playoff format @SoberasHotRod suggested

- refused to make the draft ordering transparent, i.e., let a non participant do the draw or video tape it like @Keefe used to do

- messed up the voting format, i.e, someone had to step in and do the formatting for him

- refused to let Eliza run the tourney because - by his words - “I’m too proud to give it up”.

Thee is a good dude i’m not doubting that.

But there comes a point where you either have to do a better job, or change your way of doing things or if you dont want to do neither then just step aside and let someone else do it.

At the end of the day all i want is transparency and fairness not just for me but for everyone involved.

This isn't a Congressional hearing, there is no need to follow parliamentary procedure. It's not even a formal tournament, it's just a few people screwing around during the offseason.

I'm not defending Thee, although some of your complaints are trivial and some of them are just the nature of the beast. What I'm saying is that your actions and stridentness are driving me to not want to participate again. You called him out, multiple times, to text people when it was their turn, even if only a minute or 2 had gone by since the previous person picked. You are now complaining that he didn't take some people's suggestion, while not even acknowledging that he did take OTHER suggestions. He explained over and over why he had problems with formatting, and while I admit it's less than ideal that he has those limitations, none of this should have been a shock to you, given that it came up in the last draft less than a month ago.

Again, I'm not defnding him. I find some of the same things annoying, too. But what's worse to me is you nagging him about stuff that doesn't matter anyway.

I don't have anyone on ignore, but I have lots of posters on mental ignore, or in other words I just skim past their comments about a specific topic. The only problem is when they change their avatar and it messes me up for awhile.

Listen, nobody is FORCING him to do the tourney.

Nobody’s holding a gun to his head.

Eliza had offered to take over - all he had to do is take the offer.

Instead he insisted on continuing because of his “pride” despite all the issues I’ve outlined.

Why not think about the greater good for once?
