2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Man a redshirt year as a rookie likely dings his draft stock quite a bit. Sucks for him.

Wonder if he's projected to slide if it would make it easier for us to trade up with a team that doesn't want to win next year (Wizards?). Maybe SA takes him at #8 as they would be able to take the year developing their other guys and #4.
He might slide to 15 with that kind of injury. Hurts us at ten.

I think media is overexaggerating when they say, "#1 can be traded for a 4th or 5th starter".....but I think Sexton for #5 is somewhat in the realm of possibility. Maybe instead of #10 we do #29 + #32? Those late picks are really good as trade items for more vets. They can get you a really solid vet....like Simone.

Speaking of second draft guys, I would be somewhat interested in Jalen Green if/when he gets dealt. Maybe the we jump in as a third party like we thought we were with Herro. I know it doesn't exactly work this way, and rookie contract is valuable, but Jalen Green or Dalton Knecht?? Knecht is older than him.
That supposedly was relayed to Russillo by 8 or so nba teams... take it for what its worth and I believe it is exaggeration.

If Castle can be an average shooter, he's a near all-star. Get him then? Wait...work him out again and look closely...then get him.

Is Beef Stew a player nickname, or like saying "and a bag of chips" in trade talks?

Because I'll be honest, a hearty beef stew seems like the best piece in that trade.
Isiah Stewart is Beef Stew.

I highly doubt that lol
Detroit's owner wants progress... if other teams see this draft as really bad I could see it happening. They also have a lot of space and likely not a ton of real interest. If Knecht is the guy they like and is still there at 10?
