2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I understand he's in a slump but... he's still shooting 39% from 3 it seems? For some reason I was left with the impression that his season stats are much lower. Why are we taking about the small sample size(the slump... or the hot streak?), and not the bigger sample? I.e. his season and career?

The numbers I see above(thanks to @bigmike are much more positive than I thought with him?! Now I'm looking through his numbers with the national team - again... small sample(57 3p shots total) but even there he's at 37%. Again... his FT% has been around 69-70 for a while... not the greatest indicator... but maybe there is a chance he's actually going to develop a shot?

Right….if he was shooting 80% from the line I think he would be a solid enough prospect to be top 3. And honestly he still might, the actual 3FG% is not bad at all. We can’t look at it as a hot streak or slump, just the overall sample.

He could be Otto Porter ish….but Otto Porter was freaking good. Can’t get enough 6’8+ two way guys.

Just from our discussions, I’m already wondering why I have Matas higher than Risacher. Both mediocre 3FG%….at least Risacher hit some shots this season.

I really need to watch him play. My mind right now connects him to his play last summer with the French U19 team and I can't imagine him as a lottery pick if he's anything like what I watched. He was SO PASSIVE! Remember Dante in his rookie year... that was what it was like watching him. Except... Dante was playing against NBA competition as one of the youngest and least experienced players in the league and Risacher was playing against U19 teams.

It depends on whether you believe in Buzelis as a connector and playmaker. I've been waiting all year for Risacher to show more on-ball creation, and it just hasn't happened.

I was reading a French fan's comments and it wasn't the first time I saw comments about his personality being "introverted" or "passive". Basically just roundabout ways to call him a little soft. I think that matters more if you're thinking about him as a star and less so if you're thinking about him in a smaller role....but I definitely think it's reflected in his play. Risacher has been on the map since forever, always seen as one of the most if not the most talented on his teams. I wonder if being the lead guy just doesn't suit him and he'll do better when "falling in line". Could be another Marvin Williams.

I like Risacher quite a bit more than Buzelis. I see the similarities between them, but I think Risiacher has more of an outside/in game vs Buzelis is more of an inside/out game. I just think Richaser looks like a much more fluid athlete and his shot looks more real to me. I think Risacher is the more aggressive defender as well, and I just think overall I can see his game translating to the NBA.

I'm not watching full games though, so the critiques on him becoming invisible are concerning. I'll probably try watching some more full game film later.
