2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

Wow France could have the #1 pick two years in a row
They could have 6 or 7 players drafted this year
Would they have a legit shot at the Olympic gold this year
Especially since Olympics will be in France
Maybe 3 years in a row.

New ESPN mock has Topic falling to the Jazz

Lines up with what I've been hearing on various podcast of sources draft guys. Topic has a wider range of opinions from teams than most realize from him being highly mocked for so long.
It also mentions we have interest in Topic, Holland, Williams, and Walter specifically.

Bit surprised to see Walter still in ESPNs lottery mock. Seems like his HS rep and measurements are keeping him fairly high.

Also funny to see him listed as being on Utah's radar at 10. The Jazz have to be the top school for Baylor players.

He’s not as fluid as I was hoping, but he’s big, he plays hard and tries to make the right play. I think he’ll play in the league, but he needs a solid year or two of development and it’s not clear if he’ll ever be a starter.

I think he’s a better prospect than Kabengele a few years back, if that’s worth anything.
I think he grows another two inches. Also, I can imagine that with his weaknesses that he becomes functionally competitive. He won't out wiggle the competition but he will be good enough to drive. He has a lot of needed skills (defense, shooting, passing) for a 5 out big man, even a 4.
