It would be a travesty if we passed up the most offensively gifted player in the draft at 10.
I totally love that draft and agree that it AJ would be a throw away. Let me ask you about two players I like and what your opinion is. I watched highlights of Terrence Shannon for the first time the other day and thought he could be a steal due to his legal stuff. He is older but I don't really care about that because timeframes for being really good are so short. Also, Ryan Dunn's defense is fantastic and I am a defense person first. The question is whether he can get his offense even to a mediocre level.![]()

I'm just not sure he has a "wide skillset" that is practically useful or applicable in the NBA...He's long and athletic w/ a wide skillset. He's just not assertive. He's young enough to have potential to go in different directions based on development.
What do you think his ceiling is, and who would you liken his ceiling to. I am different from you because if a player is short and one dimensional, then I want no part of them, especially if they are a short combo guard. Just my opinion. It would be a travesty if we passed up the most offensively gifted player in the draft at 10.
Just wondering here if Danny and Zanik have their final draft board ready yet. I’d love to see them be able to move up and snatch Reed Sheppard for us. The kid seems brimming with potential and has already put up historical shooting numbers. I just read a good quote where Rajon Rondo (who couldn’t shoot but knew how to facilitate) summed it up: “Watch how Reed controls the game. … He knows the game. He’s always in the right spot. He’s not the most athletic, he’s not the fastest, but his IQ — he’s able to manipulate the game. Now some people are saying he’s the No. 1 pick in the game. That’s all IQ and the way he shoots the basketball.”
Not really a believer in either,I totally love that draft and agree that it AJ would be a throw away. Let me ask you about two players I like and what your opinion is. I mean he's 19 and young. You have to use your imagination a bit and believe in your development staff. That's the case for basically all Freshman this year.I'm just not sure he has a "wide skillset" that is practically useful or applicable in the NBA...
I think his ceiling is a 25+ PPG scorer and I would liken his ceiling to someone like Darius Garland. What do you think his ceiling is, and who would you liken his ceiling to. Yep. People are obsessing about his size which is a weakness but his shot creating ability is special and we are talking about the 10th pick in the draft. I think his worst case scenario is a good sparkplug off the bench which every team could use. The concern is that he is Brandon Jennings but I think he is a much better shooter and his handle is Kyrie level.I think his ceiling is a 25+ PPG scorer and I would liken his ceiling to someone like Darius Garland.
I don’t really want a short guard either unless they’re an elite scorer which I think Dilly can be. It’s well worth the risk at 10.
He’s the best offensive creator in the draft and has the most offensive upside.
yup. something between jennings and kyrie is a good comp. trae young as a scorer (but not passer/playmaker) is another sensible high end comp for him.Yep.
