Lakers dont really have anyone I would be interested in outside of Jalen Hood Schifino (laugh away). I doubt they would give up Reaves. I also think they are a 2nd apron team so they cant even aggregate players meaning you would have to take back D'Lo or Rui and not be able to get JHS.

It would have to be Rui right? D'Lo would have to opt in.

I've become more skeptical of Dillingham as the process has gone on.....but his production as a Freshman was pretty damn insane. I understand being high on him.

I think he's likely to end up a 2nd-unit guy, giving him a better opportunity to be hidden on defense against backups.

The Lakers aren’t a second apron team at the moment.

It would have to be something like Rui/JHS/17 + protections off our 2027 first + a future first. They get Sexton/29/32 back.

Castle falls to 5, the Jazz trade up with the Pistons, offering John Collins, 10, and a future first?

I'd put protections on that future 1st, but I could see the Jazz making a leap like that for someone they really want. At this stage of the rebuild, the Jazz need something meaningful from this draft.

100%. I think this is role that exists in the NBA and it's what's most realistic. I don't believe he can only be a superstar or out of the league. Space exists between those two outcomes.

It would be kind of a sneaky way to unload Collins without it looking like an asset dump since you can sell it as buying the 5th pick.

I could see that. "We'll give you a protected '25 or '26 FRP, but we need you to take Collins." Detroit could also send back Isaiah Stewart in some arrangement.

Ehh. Yeah, ~sure. There is just a lot of value to vacuum up in an era where they’re probably undervalued. Electric, instant offense off the bench I would argue is of real value (the stakes are lower in those minutes, the benefits of sustaining offensive production are higher, and the risks of bad defense are lower).
