Sexton seems like a hot commodity right now.

A writer covering the Raptors threw out this package:

Sexton/29/32 for Brown/19/31

Ehh. Yeah, ~sure. There is just a lot of value to vacuum up in an era where they’re probably undervalued. Electric, instant offense off the bench I would argue is of real value (the stakes are lower in those minutes, the benefits of sustaining offensive production are higher, and the risks of bad defense are lower).
Ehh, still. If the idea is that we are selling off all non-Lauri vets who could help us win too many games, we might as well aim for the "optimal" build. If Dillingham is there at 29 it's different, but I'm not taking him top 20.

Interesting, but it’s not enough (not really even close… unless someone is available at #19 that shouldn’t be… and even then it’s not enough).

Sexton deserves a chance. Unfortunately, I'm not sure this coaching staff/FO gives him that chance. It might be like Kessler where if he makes a jump, it won't come here. Unlike Kessler, however, I don't think we'd be getting a good deal.

I generally agree, in large part because the Jazz have a small pile of players they're trying to move. With Clarkson, Collins, Sexton and maybe even Kessler available, the Jazz are like a merchant selling watches on the sidewalk.
Yeah, I can see the Jazz offer, in some combination, Sexton, Kessler, and their current picks if they tried to move up. If they did this (to move up from 10), my guess is they would target Sheppard or Castle.

Currently I would guess Sexton is dealt at the deadline when he is killing it. I just dont see Ainge taking a bad deal just to get off Sexton, but maybe there will be an element of not wanting to repeat the 2022/2023 season again.

I think he would take someone to the woodshed for him though.

I could see the Lakers wanting him. JJ is a really smart dude and probably sees the value in Sexton.

Is Hardy going to give him that chance? I think he deserves it....doubtful he gets it though. I don't think he will be Brunson if we let him loose (i.e. top 5 MVP guy)....but he might be as good as someone like Fox (borderline all star).
