What's new

2024 NBA Free Agency Thread

In the last week there have been a boatload of international signings. Players with Jazz ties include Luka, Juwan Morgan, Denzel Valentine, Ray John Tucker, Ian Clark, Eric Paschal, Matty Ice, Carsen Edwards, and Malik Fitts.

Wondering if GSW pivots to Ingram now. Could a 3-team where the Jazz send Kessler and Collins to NOP, NOP sends Ingram to GSW, and GSW sends dead salary and picks to Utah make sense?

1. We don’t know that.
2. We need the value now. That’s the whole point.
3. whatever value he does recover is likely eaten up by the fact he will have 25-50% less time under his cheap contract which adds to his value tremendously.

Shams said they don't want Ingram or lavine. Said it will be smaller deals most likely. LOL

Lol what are they doing? Have fun wasting your last window.
Fair, but also do they really have a chance at another championship? I don't think any trade can get them back. Might as well just hold on, sell tickets, have a few glory moments, and be somewhat competitive but not give up assets.

Yeah, that’s fine. Might as well trade Curry and kick off the rebuild right, though. This is not just a point about turning the page and building the next contender for the Warriors, it’s about doing right by Curry.

Curry sells tickets and it's a great story for him and the franchise for him to retire with them. But sacrificing your future to get from 7th seed to 5th seed seems meaningless for both sides. I guess they could trade him to a contender and get some assets and start the rebuild. But to me that didn't make sense for GS or Curry.
