What's new

2024 Vegas Summer League Thread

I only watched the first quarter of the Houston game, but Nate Williams impressed me the most.

Always crazy how different players look in a T-shirt from college vs non t shirt in the pros. Didn't recognize Carrington at first. Looks bigger without the undershirt

Guys generally look like what we thought they'd be. Sarr is a defensive presence, but a work in progress on the offensive side. Risacher is a perimeter shooter who can drive a bit.

Edit: Sarr confidently strokes a 3-ball.

I think both players may look better during the regular season.

Jay Huff murdered like 5 guys in the first quarter on poster dunks. A true summer league shining moment. That TSJ dunk was filthy. He looked so good.

Not sad about missing out on Whitmore. Talented but just really doing his own thing out there.

Dilly looked terrible. Will need some time to figure things out.

Super random but nix was really good defensively. Hawkins couldn’t get any separation from him.

I tried to watch a little from each game, but obviously didn't see everything. From what I watched the biggest surprise was Jett Howard, he was great and doing things I didn't think he could do and moving better than I've ever seen him move. The disappointment of the night for me was Whitehead, he looks like he is pretty far away from being an NBA player.
