2025-26 College football season

One thing that I hope Kalani Sitake has learned from this season is that style points matter. Running up the score is important and necessary. Just winning the games isn't enough. He is notoriously kind and huge on sportsmanship and is anti running up the score more than about anyone.

Maybe if BYU would have tried to put a few more points on the board at the end in games that they had firm control of then they would be in the CFP regardless of what happens today.

Like how 11-1 Ole Miss is ranked #6 after winning by an average of 20 points per game. Maybe if 11-1 BYU would have won by an average of 20 points per game, instead of 19.8 points per game lol, then they would be ranked #6 instead of #11.

Ole Miss strength of schedule is ranked #40 in the country and BYU strength of schedule is ranked #34 in the country fwiw.

Pretty funny on Techs first TD. They always show the route run by the receiver on the replays for a play like this. This time they only showed the catch over and over to avoid showing the obvious offensive PI that got the receiver open. Also, the receiver ran out of bounds, the ref threw his hat on the sideline to indicate the illegal touching, yet no penalty.
Great job by the replay crew and the announcers to avoid showing or discussing those two things.
The refs understand the assignment. Need Notre Dame and all the eyeballs and money that come with them to make the playoffs.

BYU QB got hurt early and cant run anymore. Not looking good.
Offensive MVP of the Big 12 LJ martin was hurt in the first matchup.

Haven't had a bad snap in 2 months...... So of course BYU has one now lol.

Good hell. BYU forces a fumble and it bounces right to a Tech player running in stride for a big gain. Lol. FML

Game over. Tech too good.

BYU did not stand a chance once Bear effectively went down. New rule: if your starting quarterback is running a lot by play design, you have to have a back up pocket quarterback, ready to play. Have to. It doesn’t matter whether that preparation comes from playing in blowouts or occasionally mixing them in as a switch hitter or what. You have to have a back up ready when you are exposing your starter to that much injury risk.

But also, the missed tackles were unbelievable today. You’re not gonna win a game of such stakes/competition if you miss tackles like that.

ya I was making some excuses early on but Tech is just way better. They ran BYU over and backed up over them again.
BYU got smoked twice by them and the funny thing is that when BYU got smoked earlier, it was Techs worst home win of their season (as far as margin of victory) and then today BYU still lost by less than the average team lost to tech this season (35.1 point margin per win for tech this seaon)

They just might win the championship.

A few things that suck: BYU finally gets into a P4/P5 conference only to find out that it would be easier to make the playoffs as a G5/independent team lol.
BYU just had their best recruiting class of all time....... and if they were in the SEC it would be a meh recruiting class. They would have had the 8th best recruiting class in the SEC this year.

Sucks for BYU, but you got to feel pretty good about the future with a stud quarterback for another 3 years and Kalani locked in long term.
