It;s funny to listen to the reactions to the Yang pick. EVeryone is calling him a huge project. I saw the dude outplay every center at the combine. He's not that big of a project.

Its a wild fit though. I wonder if there is some marketing reasons they wanted him. I think it was a reach but they did get a nice premium for moving back.

I mean, I wanted Yang here with Walker. I think it's a nice mix of offense/defense with Clingan/Yang then you figure out which player works best for whatever it is you end up building.

Blazers still dont have their "engine" type of player on offense, so maybe Yang develops into that and you have all these athletic wings/guards around him. Or maybe Scoot develops and he's a nasty PNR player with Clingan.

So @Elizah Huge and I have someone (not Tony) who told us that if Ace was gone it would have been Fears. So wasn't a full smokescreen. I think disguising their interest in Ace/Kon worked to their advantage though. Danny really liked Fears supposedly.

Suns don't own their 2nd round picks until 2032 and the only 2nd round picks they acquired through trade belong to Golden States/Denver/Boston/Houston, none of which would even come close to top 40. Just what the hell are the Nets thinking? Surely we could've beat the Suns offer. Any team should've.
