2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

I do think the NBA needs to bring back being able to trade non-guaranteed players without having to guarantee them upon trade. It's just going to get harder and harder to make trades with the new CBA rules. Trading players you can waive just makes trading much easier.

Lauri is not a great fit for HOU. I think any Lauri trade with HOU with need to be a three teamer where Lauri goes someone else and HOU gets a ball in hand star.

As great as Lauri is, it’s definitely a challenge to find teams who would want to pay his salary for a non creator.
Ideally if Houston Makes this trade they also make a trade with Phoenix to give back their picks and some and give them green and eason for Devin booker.

Couldn't disagree more. He's an ideal fit if they aren't just name hunting.

They believe Amen is the ball in hand star. What better play to pair him with than Lauri?

I would disagree with Amen as a ball in hand star, but if that’s the belief….sure.

If the Rockets miss out on the KD & Giannis sweepstakes, I could see the Jazz and Rockets making a trade involving Markkanen/Collins/Sexton.

Cam Whitmore, reed shepperd, Jabari Smith, and the #10 pick are all really interesting pieces for the Jazz.
