2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

That PG contract is brutal. I realize the Jazz have to hit a minimum salary and somebody has to get paid. I don't think I would want PG around my young team if he has any kind of negativity. I would want more from the 76ers.

He seems like a pretty positive guy
Yeah. Haven’t really seen anything to suggest that he’d be a negative locker room guy. Also, I’d immediately give him permission to speak to other teams about a trade IF they can find a package that brings positive net value to the team. Philly might not dangle him to add assets, but Utah absolutely should.

If he has anything at all left on the tank a PG, Sexton, Kessler, Collins lineup could be a play-in team in the East.

Steve Cleveland coached him at Fresno and said PG was an is a standup guy.

I like this idea a lot though the Bucks would probably need to reroute Collins as his fit isn't great with Giannis and Portis.

Jazz get: Lillard, right to swap worst 2031 pick with Bucks 2031 pick (unprotected)
Bucks get: John Collins, Collin Sexton

This is if they keep Giannis, of course.

Welcome to what we were talking about the morning after Lillard tore his Achilles.

Guys, if there is one thing to learn about the Spurs is that they don't trade high picks/promising young players for "win-now" fringe All-Star players. Instead, they draft well, patiently develop the prospects and lock them in for a long, long haul. That what made them the most successful franchise of the last 30 years.
While most of this is true, they have been extremely lucky in the draft.

Taking on Lillard's contract and giving up Collins and Sexton for a pick swap seems light to me. I'd want that pick outright.
