Man that’s grim.

I am extremely picky about trading draft assets for anybody for at least the next year but would seriously consider spending assets on Trey Murphy. He is a really promising player despite being in what seems like basketball Hell.

Death, taxes, and New Orleans not paying the luxury tax.

How good is a Harper, Lauri, and Murphy core? Would Harper be on the wrong timeline?

Murphy is 24, so he would be exactly in the middle between Lauri and Harper age-wise.

How about this idea expanding on a few rumors:

To Spurs: Lauri, #7 from New Orleans
To Jazz: #2 from Spurs, Barnes, K.Johnson, 2026 FRP from Pels
To Pels: #5 from Jazz

Spurs acquire Lauri while moving down to #7. Jazz move to #2 to draft a potential star in Harper and add a '26 FRP to their warchest. Pels reportedly want to move up to draft Ace. They own 2 FRP's in 2026.
