We’re actually going to be the one sending a second rounder :p

There’s something going on with Robinson for sure. The language shams used was confusing, but if he is becoming a FA he just gave up a lot of money. No way he gave that up unless he knows a bigger bag is coming.

I heard Detroit rumblings as a Beasley replacement maybe. IDK I agree that was a weird one so he def has something lined up.
 
I just don’t buy Locke’s overdipping the Oreo cookie view. I’d like to move as many guys that aren’t in the long term plans. If moving Collins means some of our young guys get exposed then so be it.
 
The Jazz can't make me watch a checked out Nurkic and Wiggins... I refuse. Wiggins ends up elsewhere please.

IIRC he kept his contract, he would have had $10M guaranteed and all $19M had he been traded. So at minimum he has somewhere that will pay him > $10M. But I feel like it has to be a lot more than $10M, otherwise he would just accept being waived and then sign with whoever. The fact that he decline it makes me think that resolution is already a done deal and we’ll learn soon.

I wonder if the Heat have something cooking where they want to increase his outgoing S&T value to higher than $19M. The Heat get more outgoing salary and he gets an incredible bag just to be a part of this trade.

I think Det has like 17M now that Beasley ain't coming back. That could make some sense. I could also see the Heat close to the tax doing like 3/45M and getting a slight tax break if they elected to keep him over the 19M.

No idea but he absolutely has something lined up.
 
I both subscribe to Locke's view + still support shedding Collins. Nurkic / Lauri should be enough of a "veteran presence" there.

Wouldn't be mad if we brought in a veteran backup PG, though. Not to actually "play" but just be a grown up in the room with 3 PGs who just got their peach fuzz. As of now, Keyonte is the elder statesman, which is spooky.

He was involved in the decision. They let him know he was out but he wanted to stay on until after the draft.
 
I still think TOR is a great Lauri destination. If a deal were to happen, it probably already would have on draft night. But CMB may have been my pick at #9 had we done it on draft night.
