I'm sure in the 2022 offseason you were here crying wolf on "how this team with their best player being Lauri Markkanen is way too good to tank". The "proper tank" in the Wemby draft was ruined in the first few weeks of that season by a team that wildly outperformed all expectations. Then the following draft sucked *** at a level where Zaccharie Risacher went #1. There was absolutely no reason to pull your best shenanigans that year.

DA wanted to tank for Wemby with the DM and Rudy trades, but Hardy and the band of misfits said no. In comparison, this year our 10th win came on game 38 whereas that year it came on game 13.

Stop looking at the result without looking at the process of how that result came to be.
 
Hate to say it but Skip Bayless is right and has been right all along.

LeBron just doesn’t have “clutch genes”.
 
ANT has that gene and more. He is incredible. He makes all his teammates better and it is apparent every 4th quarter. Players like Durant and even Giannis to me don’t get close to touching that quality that ANT has. Only chance w twolves future picks is ownership screwing up free agency bad w cap issues (and even then ANT could probably still win games), an injury to ANT, which would not be good for the NBA or maybe best hope he demands a trade out to a bigger market (doubt he will)

I dont think ANT makes players that much better. He's just incredible as an individual.
 
Imo if you take the 2 best players off each playoff team then the Lakers would be the worst team in the playoffs or if not the worst then right near the bottom.

LeBron and Luka have to play basically every minute of every game and play their best to have a chance to even get to the second round. Lakers lack depth like crazy and their role players aren't very good.

That should be Randle's best playoff performance of his life. Putting the work within the Wolves physical defense, scoring along the flow of the offense, being a reliable enough secondary creator behind Ant. Nothing too flash (still some highlights, but not being defined by some crazy moment or boxscore numbers), just actually consistently playing winning basketball.

How much of that should hold up in future rounds ? Tough to say, but props to him for the game he's been playing so far.

He is taking a double on almost every possession and if not doubled then often he is scoring at a high rate. Getting your teammates wide open looks and shifting a defense into help mode just by touching the ball is by default going to make your teammates better. Not saying he is John Stockton out there but in agreement with what you are saying, dude is individually so good his teammates are benefitting immensely.
