I don't think Clippers have the salary to match for Ja. I can definitely see them trade for a scoring 6th man microwave scorer type. They get no production from their bench when Kawhi/Harden need a breather.

Ja is a good piece for Clippers to build around when both Harden & Kawhi come off the books. They sorta have to because they don't own their FRP until 2030. But how's Ja gonna work with Harden in the backcourt? If they are eyeing for the long term why not just go for Trae who was way cheaper?

You could construct a trade in which LAC and MEM both remain under the tax. LAC gets Ja, MEM gets Harden. MEM gets out of the Ja business with that contract off the books. Harden could opt out next season or be a trade chip.
