A generational talent on a rookie contract at age 19 >>>That is crazy to say lmao. It's Giannis. He's one of the best players of all time and still as dominant as he has ever been.

An actual generational player still playing like he's in his prime to put next to two offensive superstars > a theoretical generational talent (neither AJ or DP are generational talents tho, so even more >>).A generational talent on a rookie contract at age 19 >>>
The problem always comes in that overpaying Kessler will never be popular with your fan base. If a team has a max, they aren't going to give it to Kessler even if they SHOULD give it to Kessler. Look at all the moronic teams that passed on trading for Lauri. Maybe it is because they stink of Utah.At a certain point, teams have to make decisions like whether it’s worth it to get 75% of the quality for 25% of the cost.
That’s kinda where I’m at with Kessler and what feels like a very likely chance he signs an offer sheet that’s >$30 million a year.
The question is what the bet is. Your package is a crazy bet.I'd bet on it easily.
That would eat all of the Jazz’s cap space (no Ayo or Ellis) and they wouldn’t have a center. Playing Giannis at center will run him into the ground. You could maybe get a shooting center with the MLE (probably not) but that’s what you’d be left to play with.Look, I don't know how cap stuff works, but I would assume you can sign a guy like Ayo while you have the free cap from the off-season, then you S&T Walker with Ace and the two picks (one which would be the player this year) and you get Giannis. Then you re-sign Nurkic. Then you'd have your MLE to get a solid player
Keyonte
Ayo
Svi
Lauri
Giannis
Brice/Cody/Nurkic/Filipowski/Collier/Clayton would still be the bench pieces. Bring in someone like Keon Ellis maybe. You could also sign Harkless and play him (still believer). Use the MLE on Oubre?
Jazz would have 3 first in 2027. Still plenty of future picks (maybe not a "ton" because we got some metric police in here). There's still opportunity for Collier/Flip/Walt/Brice/Cody to develop into legit rotation players.
Crazy to me people would pass on Giannis committing to extend long term in Utah.
You don't have to do the Giannis trade til after you do your signingsThat would eat all of the Jazz’s cap space (no Ayo or Ellis) and they wouldn’t have a center. In any event, we don’t have the #1 pick. Maybe we can revisit if that happens.
Because if Giannis is saying he will extend with your franchise long term you trade the #1 pick for him and Milwaukee would be absolutely justified in asking for it. Maybe you can get around offering Bailey by including a much bigger package of future picks but the #1 pick would undoubtedly be a part of itHow about we win the lottery then just trade other pieces besides the #1 pick for Giannis?
