2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

My homie Evan Sidery says Jalen Smith is available. I'd be very interested there. I may not want to wreck the tank but I think you could slow play him a little. The tank is rolling and things are delicate.

I'm such a nerd because why would I think adding Smith and Keon Ellis this offseason would be an A+ homerun offseason.
Having which Jalen smith for a while. Has his rebounding reached nba average level?

If we get Keon Ellis, who do you think will get pushed off the team?

No thanks

He's 13 per36 the last couple years.

I think Brice may be moved this season (no intel there at all). Ellis is more of a SG I think than pg but he could initiate. Can play with any of our other guards.

Peyton Watson averaging 23/6 since Jokic went down. Somebody has to get the stats, so this isn't meant to say he's going to be a star....but I think it's good evidence to say that he won't completely fall off away from Jokic,
Only 23 years old. He is going to get paid more than Denver is willing to match.

Good plan B in case we miss out on Black.

Sorry, who? Sincerely want to know who you’re referring to (Ayo and Watson?).
Yeah, that's what I meant. No idea what the market is for either of them, but I do think it makes sense to breakup Utah's available space into two players and I think it's within the realm of possibility to fit them both into that.

The issue would be that I don't think Utah can outright guarantee either of them a starting spot which I'm sure both would prefer

We are talking about the 2027-28 season here and so far the only big salary we have commited for that year is Lauri`s $49,8 million. Add inn Kessler`s extension, KG`s cap hold and the rookie scale deals and we still can have a lot of room that year if we want to.
