The biggest winners from obamacare will be the insurance companies. What did he do for the economy? Have you bought into the notion that the average Pakistani is in love with America because Obama is president? Bad on personal liberties and like all the presidents of the last 50 or so years he has usurped more power into the executive branch. Aren't you glad that the next republican president will have the precedent that he can kill a US citizen by fiat? Wake the **** up Obama is just as bad as Bush.

The second biggest winners will be the people covered by the Medicaid expansion and those with chronic diseases who went to poor/no insurance to having insurance. I'd have preferred a different system, but for America, this may have been the best we could do.

He didn't do much for or against the economy, outside of fighting to keep unemployment benefits coming. So, just OK.

The average Pakastani (is there such a thing?) wasn't particularly in love with America back when Clinton was President.

On personal and civil liberties, Obama is not as bad as Bush, he is worse. I suggest you wake up there.

Can someone who doesn't speak in rural bar room talking points list exactly what Obama has done so poorly in the way of personal liberties?

(If your post includes Dutch's hare lipped rant about taking military action against terrorist Americans overseas then I'm probably not going to read it)

The religious argument is beyond dumb. So what if he was Muslim (he isn't). But even if he was...SO WHAT!!!

Also it does not matter where he was born. His mom was an American citizen. As a result he is an American citizen at birth, regardless of location.

Also hahahah on the personal attack daily part. He is the President. If you think any other president did not deal with that from the other side then you are in denial. The type of attack may have shifted but it is attacks just the same.

Please calling the president a Muslim is a SO WHAT moment then why call him that when he isn't one. What is the reason for doing so? Has any other white president's religion been questioned? NO!!!!! Not even JFK, no one denied he was a Catholic. Stoked have you been sleeping the last few years, of course the president is a citizen, unfortunately there are many vocal republicans still questioning his citizenship and calling him a Muslim despite your denial or rationalization. What makes it worse is how they now defend Ted Cruz right to run for president when it is clear that he was actually born in Canada.

I said all president get criticized. Please I am not in denial, I watch a lot of news and read a lot on the internet both sides of the aisle. Please show me all the news footage of people calling Bush a traitor or socialist for his Medicare drug program. Please again show me examples of Democrats wagging their finger in front of the president or footage of a democrat calling Bush a liar during one of his speeches to the Nation. Can't do it because it NEVER happened!!! Please show me footage of multiple democrats stating that NY 9/11 was a complete foreign policy failure right after it happened? How many filibusters happened during Bush's administration? Was Laura Bush called out when she talked about reading more books like Michelle Obama was for talking about healthy eating? THere is plenty of hate on both sides but you have to be either asleep or bias to think there hasn't been a complete personal attack on the president and his wife, one that I have seen in my lifetime. Yes daily attacks the Obama bashing network FOx News has for all of his administration provided a voice that contains 99 percent negative stories about the president.

What person liberties have you lost during the Obama administration that you hadn't already lost before he became president? I never seem to get a reasonable answer regarding this claim? I would really like to know.

Foreign policy - failures - so how would you have handle each situation differently? Hindsight makes it somewhat easier to solve problems then when they are happening. I am sure Bush would have handled NY 9/11 differently or maybe not. So would you have gone to war? Do you think the country would have supported it? Would you be willingly to fight over these issues? Did you support other president's actions for diplomatic solutions or do you see them as a sign of weakness? Do you think America should always fight other countries wars? I would be interested to see if you have any solutions or just complaints?

Why ignore the precedent it sets?

In 03/2009 his admin defended the NSA's spying program in court.

In 04/2009 his admin launched operation Vigilant Eagle. It authorizes the monitoring and surveillance of military veterans.

In 07/2009 threatened veto of a bill that would inform congress of covert CIA missions.

In 03/2010 the TSA started using full body scanners and enhanced patdowns of american citizens, including elderly, disabled and children.

In 03/2011 He extended the provions of the Patriot act. Such as "lone wolf" surveillance and roving wiretaps.

In 12/2011 he signed the NDAA that authorizes the indefinite military detention of anyone suspected of terrorism without trial. Including American citizens.

In 02/2012 He signed the FAA Reathorization Act that allowed for the use of armed surveillance drones in US airspace.

In 03/2012 He signed the "Tresspass Bill". it makes it illegal to protest or assemble near "protected" government officials.

In 07/2012 he allowed the NCTC to gather and "critically assess" info on American citizens.

Will that suffice? Pick the topic and it can be debated.

I was perhaps unclear. Not "so what" that they are questioning it. SO WHAT if he is? It is an idiotic, pointless argument that is absolute rubbish.

I am well aware that they have attacked his citizenship and religion. I was pointing out that it is insanity. That it is a dead issue because it is clear that he is.

As for foreign policy:

Remove the troops from afghan and Iraq immediately. He didn't.

Close gitmo, he didn't

Not leave Poland out to dry for Russia over the missile defense shield.

Stop giving the appearance of apologies and subservience to other heads of state. Such as bowing to the Japanese PM. I disliked the image it sent.

Funding of the Ukraine uprising that dethroned that old president.

Supplying weapons to terrorist groups in other states such as Libya and Syria

It is a dead issue to you but not others and it was certainly a major issue when he was elected. Good we agree it is insanity and I say it is rooted in racism which was my point.

I rest my case.

So why do GOPers hate Obama so much if he is just like Bush? Obama has been criticize from the left for being like Bush for defending the NSA spying and extending the parts of the Patriot Act so if you are aware it has happened. Please again I would like to see the right's criticism of the War in Iraq, Patriot Act, NSA spying done under Bush etc. Now you have GOPers defending the rights of terrorists simply because they are "americans". I didn't hear any GOP criticism of Cheney when he said it was on the table to shoot down one of the airlines during 9/11.

The right rationalized away all these things when BUsh was enacting them. Remember torture? I am not against criticizing President Obama but again when you looked the other way when your guy was doing the same or worse things then you become a hypocrite.

Damn right! But I don't defend Bush.

He has a number of failures. Iraq, Patriot Act, spending... I am not a Bush fan.

As for this attacking of Obama. There are a number of reasons. Some do it from racism sure. But I see it used as a blanket to cover all criticism. That is as idiotic as the "birther" argument in my eyes. They may attack his policies simply because they disagree. Sometimes it is simply because he has a "D" after his name instead of an "R".

Neither side looks out for us (average American). D or R. So please do not lump me in with the hypocritical R fan boys like PearlWatson. I am as against her as I am the hypocritical fans on the D side like The Thriller.

Also this was not a Bush V. Obama post. Move past that as you are barking up the wrong tree. It was asked for examples of Obama's failures in a certain area. I gave them as I see them.

I didn't like Bush much either…but that's just me. I think you'll find plenty of conservatives who disagreed with a lot of what Bush did. Too often we have people who defend their choice of President because of what party they belong to…it sounds like you're starting to do exactly that.

Of course, I run more to the middle on social issues, but I'm pretty dang conservative when it comes to the economic side of things. Based on that, I think it's fairly easy to see why I wasn't a huge fan of Bush as a president (I think he's a cool guy in person), and why I'm not a big fan of Obama as a president.

Oh, and fwiw, I agreed with them keeping gitmo open. I think the idea of closing it was a poor idea, at best.

Also,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Targeted_killing#Legality

Author and former U.S. Army Captain Matthew J. Morgan has argued that "there is a major difference between assassination and targeted killing.... targeted killing [is] not synonymous with assassination. Assassination ... constitutes an illegal killing." Amos Guiora, formerly an Israeli Defense Forces Lt. Colonol and commander of the IDF school of military law, now Professor of law at the University of Utah, has written that "targeted killing is ... not an assassination". Steve David, Johns Hopkins Associate Dean & Professor of International Relations, writes: "there are strong reasons to believe that the Israeli policy of targeted killing is not the same as assassination". Syracuse Law Professor William Banks and GW Law Professor Peter Raven-Hansen write: "Targeted killing of terrorists is ... not unlawful and would not constitute assassination". Rory Miller writes: "Targeted killing ... is not 'assassination'", and Associate Professor Eric Patterson and Teresa Casale write: "Perhaps most important is the legal distinction between targeted killing and assassination"
