Isn't it strange how we as humans act as if we must try and fit every semi-relevant event in our life into a "best/biggest ever debate? Don't get me wrong, I've been guilty of it plenty of times myself, but it's just silly.

I don't have a problem with the statement.
It has been quite a while since we've had a college basketball game in the state that many people across the country would pay attention to if they could.
I will be suprised if Jimmer scores less than 30.
If Emery and the other BYU regulars can score, and if the BYU frontline can stay out of foul trouble, I say BYU wins.
If there is foul trouble, and someone not named Jimmer does not step up, BYU will lose.

Either way, I hope it is a great game, and lives up to expectations.

Word. Anderson and Mags are terrible backups(about as bad as you can get at the D-1 level), and Davies is a foul machine so BYU definitely needs at least 3 solid bigs....which of course....don't exist on the current roster anymore with the injury to Collinsworth. I think they are probably a good 10-15 spots overrated for that reason at this point. But if Jimmer drops 40, that can patch any hole.

On another note, Aird at UVU is averaging 11 and 8 as a Freshman. He would've been a great 3 or 4 big coming off the bench. Another big BYU whiffed on.

A game played in this state is part of this state's history. In case you made the argument that it was not about games played in the state and was about the state's teams I gave you another example. One way or the other this is not "by far the biggest game in this state's history".

So I covered both of the counter arguments and either way your just plain wrong.

No but I figured that a homer would try and disqualify the championship game that was played here because no team from Utah was included. So as an example of a bigger game played by a team from the state I put that one in there.

Look at his next post. He did try and disqualify it saying that it did not count because it was not a Utah team. Then tried to say the game championship game did not count because it was not in Utah. This game is not either the biggest game in the state's history or the biggest game by a team from this state.

This is the biggest game ever played in the state of Utah. Just admit it, and move on.

If there is one thing in this world that makes my skin crawl, it's the fact that, "The Thriller" is a BYU fan. I really just can't stand it.

No I didn't. THIS GAME IS NOT BIGGER THAN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BETWEEN 2 OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN COLLEGE TO EVER PLAY. That game was played in UTAH.

Only a BYU homer would even try and argue it.
