If they could add Carmelo and another good piece, I`d say they have consider it. Favors + Hood would probably get it done, with Favors going to New York and Hood to Cleveland. It would be tough for us gi give up on Hood, but atleast we wouldn`t have to give him his new way too big contract after a season of being our primary scorer.
No, Melo is going to Houston.

Ya maybe. I'd love to watch the drama in Houston if that happened.
Its been reported that both NYK and Houston want to get a deal done but they need some other teams to get a deal done (basically find someone to take Ryno's salary).
The big problem is that Houston doesn't have its first round pick next year or any good rookie contracts so they don't have much to offer to bad teams who can afford to take him.

After watching GH leave for nothing, would make sense they might be interested in trading a disgruntled Favors before he also walks.

Anderson is a possibility with Utah helping facilitate Melo to Houston.

Yeah sounds like it's a hint toward Favors. I don't think the Jazz are wanting to trade Joe. I think Jerebko would get minutes if Favors and Joe were healthy though. Favors would get some of his minutes splitting time with Gobert at Center which would open some minutes at PF. And Joe will probably be on limited minutes for the regular season again. Plus he can get some of his minutes at 3.
I could see us being involved in the HOU/NY trade. But getting Love out of the deal is unlikely. I don't think Cleveland would swap Love for Ryan Anderson. They really don't have a motive to move Love without getting a star back in return. It might be a different fourth team involved instead of Cleveland. Not sure what we would get out of it.

The moves today are just to add depth. Neither would necessarily prevent another move from happening. Any "big move" would likely involve Hood, Favors or Exum.
Did Utah want Exum to play SL in order to showcase him? If so, he strengthened his trade value.

Because he's been involved in trade rumors ever since Lindsey took over. Constant talk of Gobert and Favs not being an ideal fit at the 4/5. Also, he wanted to be extended at the deadline and the Jazz didn't make him an offer.
