What's new

a continuation of the point guard discussion: Dennis Schroeder

I know he doesn't have a ton of fans on this site, and I know he's had some irritating playoff performances, but Dennis is a young two-way player on what I think is fair to call a reasonable deal. And he's locked up long-term. His team also looks like it's headed for a full-scale rebuild. Might he be gettable? Any interest?

Apologies if this has been discussed.

He's set to make $15,500,000 for every season through 2020-2021.

I thought about him too... I think he's an ******* and his teammates don't like him. Similar to how Rondo was viewed.

He's fine but I don't think he helps us sell Hayward on staying.

A solid idea but I don't like it because I think Hayward wants someone more experienced by his side.

Even if Atlanta is rebuilding, Schroeder is only 24. I don't see them trading him. Atlanta isnt a team, from what I've read, who wants to bottom out.

This though.
I don't think he is available.

I would take schroeder over rubio, beverly, teodosic..... I would have Dennis about even with Bledsoe at the top of my list

Seems about right. I also don't think he's available.

I was bummed we didnt draft him. I went to the Jazz draft party at the arena and I think I was the only one there disappointed when every started finding out we had traded for Burke.

That said I would still like him but like others have said I doubt he is on the trade block or attainable but if he is the Jazz should look into it.

What do you think it would take to get him NAOS? Would you trade Hood and picks for him? Or just Diaw and picks? Mitchell for him?

I must have the unpopular opinion on this one actually. Not a fan. Especially considering it's not like Atlanta would dump him, we would need to give up a real piece to acquire him. Non starter for me.
