What's new

A Mitt Romney and Condoleeza Rice ticket?

Yes it is. It is also easy for a underprivilaged person to make ugly accusations. Generalzations are fun!

I think Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal would be able to energaize the right. Hispanic and Indian descent respectively.

Underpriviledged people experience the actions regularly, and their effects just about every day, that lead to the ugly accusations. Growing up, I and my friends experienced a little too much racism behind the smiles for me to believe it's gone. The feelings run deep and long. Maybe in another 50 years, skin color won't matter.

I'm sure Rubio and Jindal would excite some people on the right. I'm also sure they would scare off others on the right, to a greater degree than they would excite. I would be very pleased, as well as suprised, if either was a VP choice as early as 2024, or some other person who was not of European descent or not male.

I think Herman Cain was one of the best choices we had, but a lot of liberal media yellow journalists wouldn't give him the same space they'd give Bill Clinton or John F. Kennedy. I've seen some folks trying to explain that on the racist model that liberals are particularly outraged by successful black men who might give a lot of blacks a positive role model in regard to financial success.

Well, it would be a huge win all the way around for us to have a really good black president who was politically very well-informed, not just reading off the winds of fashions of thought, and a good husband/father.

I agree about Herman.

People are jumping the gun on a "Romney" vp pick. Romney hasn't gotten the nomination yet.

After Newt's home run last night in the debate things could change in SC, and there is disputes about the Romney win in Iowa.

Hence the liberal outrage over Barack Obama. Great point.

C'mon...Romney has this thing locked up. Newt did well last night, but it's not going to be enough to make up the difference in SC, and Romney has a big lead in Florida. It's pretty much a done deal for Romney.

He's going to pick Gov. Christie Cream and we all know it.

Also a fairly moderate politician; comparitively speaking. Christie was just quoted yesterday as saying he would not necessarily veto a gay marriage bill if he were ever presented with one.

He's also from the Northeast - like Romney.

I think Romney will go far right and probably someone from the south for his VP pick.

Christie appointed a Muslim judge. That won't endear him to many on the right.

Yeah it is wishful thinking, because I actually want a candidate that has a chance at beating Obama.

If the dopes that don't have a chance would get out of the race...Perry and Paul...and Santorum would do the right thing and bow out Newt could beat Romney, and save us from 4 more years of the worst president in history.

Great, the cure is worse than the disease.

My guess is thats what going to happen. She brings the foreign policy experience that Mitt is severely lacking. Also being an African American woman will help rich white Mormon Mitt. I have to say a Romney/Rice ticket should beat an Obama/Biden ticket. It would definatly be an interesting election.

Also my guess is Hunstsman made a deal with Romney. I like Huntsman and think he would bring a lot of good to the White House in some capacity.

You mean the women that was involved in the foreign policy disaster of the Bush administration. The same women who didn't think a memo warning the administration that Al Qaeda want to hijack planes and run them into building was important. Sorry Mitt has his own problems, the only people who think Rice is worth a damn are the same people who believe that we found WMDs in Iraq.

Boo hoo! The big bad liberal media is attacking a republican. How dare they do that? Your statement about the press giving space on Clinton is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard and I have heard a ton of them coming from the hypocritical right-wingers. Clinton was outed and forced to lie on national TV because the media and NEOCONs hated him. Sorry but to say the media pushed Cain out is also ridiculous. When you go touting your social conservative ideas about be a real American and GOD fearing person then you live the high standards you are touting and if you don't then you get what you deserve.

He should have kept his zipper shut. Clinton didn't quit. Cain quit because he was exposed as a hypocrite and want to "protect himself". Instead you and Cain want to blame it on the media. CLASSIC republican victim syndrome. What Cain did is no different than what John Edwards did? Yet the Republicans had no problem criticizing him. (He deserved it but you get my point).
