I’m sorry but this is a crock of ********. Bold =\= extreme.

This moderate label is simply meaning not extrememe in a position it has nothing to do with not having bold and energetic policies. These excessive wild policies are often what created this mess. War on drugs and Clinton’s crime reform bill anyone.

It means not supporting extreme **** like abolishing ICE or a border wall.

It may not be glitzy but that’s irrelevant.

Abolishing an agency that's younger than I am and rife with abuse is not extreme LMAO. This is exactly the kind of milquetoast moderate bs I'm talking about

Actually yes, it is. Investigating it, enacting reform, jailing and charging agents when needed and holding agents accountable is far more important.

Abolishing ICE is ****ing stupid.

Just to be clear, because I feel like this point gets missed, abolishing ICE doesn't mean we wouldn't have any immigration or border security, we'd still have border patrol and if there's one thing this country doesn't lack it's law enforcement. ICE as an institution does more harm than good in my view, honestly this is an example of shrinking the federal government that you'd think the small govt types could get behind.

she's legitimately tapped into an national nerve on an emotional level. But the practicality of her ideas and implications if they were to be implemented are broadly terrible.

High marketing, low knowledge. Just like POTUS45, more naive, less evil.
 
We should embrace opposite views in politics, as extreme as they may seem to the other person's eyes. Unfortunately many people get entrenched in their ideas in a way that rather than engaging in intelligent conversation they resort to bashing the other side. And so what happens in this scenario is that a republican that supports universal healthcare is viewed, or made to be viewed (by the media) as an "outsider" and consequently gets less coverage. Likewise if a democrat supports lower taxes or any other action that involves less government interventionism.

The establishment is a thing.
 
And btw anyone who thinks a moderate candidate is going to dethrone Trump is mistaken imo. Nothing to the right of Bernie Sanders has a remote chance of cutting the job.
Overthrowing bold bigotry requires bold open-mindedness.
