What's new

A tiny bit of inside info

Burks has predominantly played the 6th man role for the Jazz, it'll take a pretty big leap for another team to pay him $11m to be a starter, IMO, given he is still not a proven shooter from 3pt line and isn't a real difference maker defensively. He does have 1 elite skill but does that get you $11m ???

Hayward just got paid 15.75M per. Anything can happen.

You are correct as of today.... but no teams can offer him a contract as of today.

After next year, when he has another year of big time minutes and if his outside shooting continues to get better (like it does every year) and if he puts up numbers in the 20 point, 4 assists, and 5 rebound range (realistic goals for alec imo) then i think teams may think of alec differently than they do today

How many elite skills does hayward have? I would say zero. He got a decent contract imo

He is elite at being versatile.

OK, that didn't convince me either. It's just really hard not to think about his contract. smh.

Kinda true i guess..... good point.

But ya that contract is annoying

Maybe this is why the Jazz are trying to max out on the money they can get through trades every year.

Yes, I realize the Jazz paid for the Gobert pick.

That's what I thought was the case here as well. They basically sold 'stuff they no longer need' for $1million they could put into scouting and hiring the new shooting coach at least.
