a trade thread: Orlando and Indy speculations

Given the circumstances, I thought this thread might be worthwhile. Orlando and Indy seem to be very good trading partners. It's not a stretch to say Indy wants Al or Paul, and that Orlando wants our good contracts, namely Okur and CJ.

What would trades would you consider?

(please, restrain yourself a little with the Granger talk; Indy has other players).

CJ Miles and a future 2nd rounder for Dwight Howard....

Indy doesn't have much that I'd want. Maybe Paul George or something....

Hibbert is soft and stiff. The rest of their bigmen are either stiff or just hustle guys (which we already have Millsap and Evans for). And their wings aren't very good.

I've seen enough PGeorge this year to guarantee that you want him. He's a much better defender than anybody thought he'd be at this point, and his offense will get there (including his 3-pnt shot). I think he can guard 1-3.

Jazz should be careful not to become Indy. A nice group of guys who show flashes of talent but never quite put it together. Indy has about 10 players that would be considered nice trade pices but no-one to lead and carry them.

I don't know how much I want anybody on both of thoses teams. I wanted Gortat, but thats too late. And I use to want Granger, but not so much anymore. I hope Utah pawns off Bell, doesn't resign Ak, trade Memo for cap space and a draft pick.

Indiana wont give up Paul George. I'm pretty sure they consider him to be the biggest key of their future. Maybe they would part ways with Granger. And their is nothing I want on Orlando.

Millsap next to Dwight is a perfect tandem, but I don't know who I'd really want of theirs besides Dwight. Ryan Anderson is kind of interesting but after that it's a bunch of overpaid aging turds.

Millsaps better. And why would we want to take on, 2 semi-used rotation players, for a starting PF.

What if we could trade CJ + Memo's expiring for Redick and Bass or Anderson? Interested? I realize that these two guys would be bench material, but we need that. I'm not a Redick homer, but we are pretty hardup for shooters. This scenario gets a bit more likely if Orlando goes into implode-mode.

In case that question isn't rhetorical, I don't think it's a good trade. That's exactly what I'm saying.

CJ and Memo only have value for them if they're blowing it up, at which point Anderson becomes a guy they are almost certain to keep and probably Reddick too. They'd want the same pieces the Jazz did at that point (young guys on cheap or affordable deals).

Reddick's contract is ugly relative to his contribution level. $12.5 million over the next two seasons for a specialist is a tough pill to swallow.

All the talk about Paul George makes me think Brandon Rush would actually be available and he's got a skillset the Jazz could use (perimeter defense and three point shooting). Dahntay Jones has also proven to be useful in the right situation.

No one on Orlando's roster gets me excited. Maybe Daniel Orton on a spec deal if we basically get him for free. But nothing other than that.
