Aaron Gordon With The 5th Pick

This may have been discussed in another thread, but is anyone else concerned about his 42% free throw percentage?

Malone was less then 50% FT shooter entering NBA. Turned out quite well. It is all about work ethic and Gordon has been known to have great work ethic. His 35% 3 pt shooting tells me his FT% is not going to be an issue for long.

Ft% is often psychological. That may scare some, but not me. I see A. Gordon as an insanely gifted 18 yr old kid. I think those ft's will start falling in no time.

Gordon has been working hard and is excited to play defense.

Andrew Wiggins sounds like a nerd.

Joel Embiid ironically likes Miley Cyrus.

Gordon #1 IMO

Thing I love about Gordon is that he is a great natural passer. You can tell he has a high IQ just by his court vision and willingness to pass.Think players with that kind of IQ and his work ethic are just bound to succeed.

agreed, 100%. But I just can't shake the discomfort for where his offense is. I wanna see workout vids where he's draining threes and free throws.

I won't be disappointed if we get him, but, IMO, there's a substantial difference between Gordon and Wiggins. I had all teh hopes 4 Wiggin, man. Oh well.

The only thing I don't like about Gordon is that he uses the word "eloquent" way too much. It's really annoying.

I am really starting to like this option. Gordon could be as good as anyone in this draft. He is SO quick in his jumping.

Why couldn't he be a SF? If he works on his J. He can definitely defend those quicker players.

If the Jazz stay at #5 and the top four picks go as expected (Wiggins, Parker, Embiid and Exum) then Aaron Gordon is the guy I'm hoping they pick. He's just barely scratching the surface of his potential, he's already a great defender and I think his offense will improve with time and coaching. If the Jazz go with anyone else instead, I hope they try to package #23 and their pick next year to move up and nab him from a team that needs cap space and/or assets. This would be a very good year to aggressively go after two lotto picks.

I would love a draft of gordon w/ #5, and something like -#23, #35, and rights to Tomic so we could snag lavine in the teens.

I see both of these kids as having the highest ceilings out of anyone not named embiid, wiggins, or exum
