I don't know if it was a fan pipedream or an NBA "Insider" rumor, but the only Milsap trade scenario that I've like is the one in which the Jazz land Danny Granger, and that seems like a long shot. Other than that, the other scenarios have been simply terrible.
Keep Milsap and MAKE him play the 6th man. Even if that pisses him off, he's still going to be a gamer and the Jazz have him under contract for 2 more seasons. By that time, he may realize how much better suited he is as a 6th man. If 2 years from now he's still pissed off, you have a coveted player in the last year of a really tolerable contract. You can easily trade him at that point.
Fact is, with Sap coming off the bench it starts to build much needed depth for the Jazz and keeps a veteran presence on the team. KOC has made no bones about the fact that he doesn't want an extremely young team. Trading Sap in a draft pick deal makes this team even younger.
