Ace Bailey ROY watch

Alright, I get it. You guys have incredible taste. What I mean is that are we overrating how athletic a guy is....or how athletic he looks (which is what I was going for with aesthetics).

Queen being a good shot creator was not his concern! The concern is whether he can be elite enough at shot creation to minimize how bad he is at defense.

Flagg aesthetically was the least watchable guy in the draft while Queen was the most fun guy to watch. But Queen is a 6'9" guy who can barely jump or move laterally.
What?

Queen isn't a good shot creator, he just puts up the most ridiculous **** because he's on a 2-14 team that doesn't care and there are no vets on the roster who would tell him to cut that crap out.

Right now Ace plays much better when there's an actual offensive framework and other scorers around him. He's nowhere near ready for a role where we depend on him to create shots.

I'm very encouraged by Ace thus far. He is both confident and coachable, and it feels like his decission making is improving fast. Combine those with his shooting (quick trigger and form), size, athleticism and intangibles and I think he is gonna be a very very good player.

Whether he actually turns into a legit superstar one day is anyones guess and requires a lot pieces to fall in place.... but I think if he stays on the track he is I would bet on him becoming at least an all-star level player in his prime.

I was a fan of his art draft time and liked the pick.
He has been better than I expected in the must surprising ways.
He plays the right way. His attitude is a joy.

Ace at #8 on this week's rookie ladder: https://www.nba.com/news/kia-rookie-ladder-nov-26-2025

Feel pretty confident on him ending top 5, really solid class so far. Needs a pretty big ramp up to hope to catch Kon and Flagg (especially Flaggs hype), but super high on him. We've gone from his character being my biggest red flag to a huge green flag now that he's distanced from Omar

I've watched a bit of Memphis this season Coward can play.
